Nepenthes (Pitcher Plants), Sarracenia (North American Pitcher Plants), Drosera (Sundews), Dionaea (Venus Flytraps), Pinguicula (Butterworts) Carnivorous Plants For Sale.
Update: I tracked down someone with information closer to the origins of the unique Pinguicula but was not my source on the plant years ago. They grow this plant as well and have always wondered about its true Id, They thought Weser or Possibly Sethos but both have more intense colour under strong light. A guess is that it was a seed grown ehlersiae but turned out actually a hybrid of it.
Im told, My source got theirs as pullings from someone in the orchid world maybe a decade or more ago, and has unknowingly passed along to myself.
It turns out It’s been around for ages in select groups of growers and no one has ever been able to figure out its true identity… its a real mystery.
Pinguicula, commonly known as the butterworts, is a genus of carnivorous plants that use sticky, glandular leaves to lure, trap, and digest insects in order to supplement the poor mineral nutrition they obtain from the environment. These plants have a winter succulent phase where they are smaller and less carnivorous. Becomes bright pink under strong lighting!
Price is for one plant approximately 1”-2” across.
Sun: Sunny windowsills or in a terrarium under lights.
Water: keep Moist Spring through Summer. winter they should be allowed to dry out slightly during their winter succulent phase

Winter: no true dormancy but does have a succulent phase during which the plant will produce small succulent leaves instead of flat sticky leaves
